The SAX mission is a major joint programme of the
Italian Space Agancy (ASI)
and the Netherlands Agency for Space
Programmes (NIVR). The mission development is supported by a consortium of
institutes in Italy together with institutes in The Netherlands and the Space
Department of ESA. The composition of the consortium is as follows:

A collaboration with the Max Planck
Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics exists for X-ray mirror testing and the calibration of the
concentrator/spectrometer system.
A collaboration with the Physics Department
of Ferrara University also exists for the
calibration of the Phoswich Detector System.
